Quickstart
Overview
Welcome to the Quickstart guide! This page will walk you through the basics of setting up and using bare metal or virtual machine (VM) instances powered by NVIDIA H100 GPUs.
Whether you’re using these for AI, ML, or compute-intensive workloads, this guide ensures you get started quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Access Your Dashboard
Log in to the platform and navigate to your Dashboard. From here, you can manage instances and access other tools, such as billing and account settings.
Step 2: Deploying an Instance
Choose Your Deployment Type
Bare Metal: Ideal for high-performance workloads that need direct access to hardware.
Virtual Machine (VM): Perfect for smaller, cost-effective workloads.
Networking
Choose between 100 Gbps Ethernet or 3.2 Tbps InfiniBand
Our Virtual Machines (VM) instances are only available in 100 Gbps Ethernet.
Launch Instance
Review your configuration and click Deploy.
Your instance will begin provisioning, and its status will update to Running when ready.
Please note that our Bare Metal instances can take up to 15 minutes to deploy.
Step 3: Accessing Your Instance
Once your instance is running, locate it on the My Instances page.
Click on Details to retrieve your Public IP.
Connect via SSH:
Step 4: Managing Your Instance
On the My Instances page, you can:
Launch Jupyter Notebook: Start a session for interactive AI/ML workflows.
Stop: Gracefully shut down your instance.
Terminate Instance: Permanently delete (cancel) your instance.
NOTE: Please be advised that if you Terminate Instance, your data will not be retained and this action is irreversible.
Review Hardware: Examine hardware, networking details, pricing, and deployment type.
Step 5: Monitoring Costs
Navigate to the Billing to:
View your Account Balance and Pricing Per Hour.
Track H100 rentals and their costs.
Use the Historical Transactions section to see charges for compute, storage, and other services.
Step 6: Invite Your Team
Collaboration is easy! From the Account Page:
Go to the People Logo (Organization Management) section.
Click Send Invite and enter your teammate’s email address.
They will receive an invitation to join your organization.
Step 7: Automate Fund Management
Go to the Billing page and set up Automations for:
Email Notifications: Set up alerts to notify you via email when your balance drops below a specified threshold.
Add Funds: Automatically deposit funds into your account when your balance drops below a specified threshold to avoid service interruptions.
Use the Monthly Report button to track and analyze transaction trends.
Step 8: Need Help?
If you encounter issues:
Visit the My Instances page to retrieve your Instance ID or Host ID for troubleshooting.
Contact support via email at support@voltagepark.com.
Include the keyword Urgent for critical issues.
Provide the Transaction ID or Instance ID for faster assistance.
Key Resources
