Getting Started

Overview

Welcome to the Getting Started guide! This walkthrough will help you understand the full potential of the Voltage Park On Demand platform.

Whether you’re deploying NVIDIA H100-powered instances, managing your team, or handling finances, this guide is designed to provide in-depth insights and step-by-step instructions.

Voltage Park On Demand

The platform is designed to support high-performance computing (HPC) needs, offering bare metal nodes and virtual machines (VMs) optimized for compute-heavy workloads like AI and machine learning. You’ll have access to tools for:

  • Deploying and managing instances.

  • Monitoring usage and financials.

  • Organizing your team and account settings.

Dashboard

When you log in, you’ll land on the Dashboard. This is your central hub, giving you quick access to:

  • My Instances: Manage and monitor your compute resources.

  • Billing: View account balances, transaction history, and automate fund management.

  • Account: Update personal details, manage team members, and access organizational settings.

Deploy GPUs

Bare Metal and Virtual Machines

The platform offers bare metal and virtual machine options, both powered by NVIDIA H100 GPUs.

Bare Metal

  • Large-scale AI training and deep learning workloads.

  • Real-time data processing or workloads requiring low-latency networking.

Virtual Machines (VMs)

  • Smaller AI/ML workloads, development environments, or prototyping.

  • Applications requiring flexibility or cost-efficient scaling.

Networking Options

Virtual Machine (VM)
Bare Metal

100 Gbps Ethernet

100 Gbps Ethernet

3.2 Tbps InfiniBand

Our Virtual Machines (VM) instances are only available in 100 Gbps Ethernet.

Deploying Your Instance

After configuring your instance:

  1. Click Deploy. The platform will begin provisioning your resources.

  2. Navigate to the My Instances page to monitor the status.

  3. Once the instance shows Running, it’s ready to use.

My Instances

SSH Instructions

  1. Navigate to the My Instances > Details page

  2. Find your Public IP Address to connect to the instance.

  1. Use the following command to connect:

ssh ubuntu@<Public_IP>

Managing Your Instance

The My Instances page provides tools for controlling and monitoring your instances. Key actions include:

  • Launching Jupyter Notebook: Open an interactive environment for AI/ML workflows.

  • Stopping an Instance: Gracefully shut down while retaining all data.

  • Terminating an Instance: Permanently delete the instance and associated data.

NOTE: Please be advised that if you Terminate Instance, your data will NOT be retained and this action is irreversible.

Billing

The Billing Page is designed to help you track and manage costs. For additional detailed information, please visit our Billing page here.

Key Features

  • Account Balance: Displays your current balance. Negative balances indicate outstanding charges.

  • Pricing Per Hour: This shows the hourly cost of your current instances.

  • H100 Usage: Tracks the number of instances rented and their associated costs.

Historical Transactions

The Historical Transactions section provides a detailed log of:

  • Compute Charges: Costs incurred for running instances.

  • Storage Charges: Costs for allocated storage.

  • Deposits: Funds added to your account (marked in green).

Click on a transaction to view:

  • Duration of Charges: How long the instances were active.

  • Transaction ID: Unique identifier for support inquiries.

Automations

To avoid service interruptions:

  • Set up Low Fund Notifications to receive alerts when your balance drops below a threshold.

  • Enable Scheduled Deposits to automatically replenish your account when your balance drops below a threshold.

Organization

The Account Page provides access to personal and organizational settings.

Here you’ll find:

  • Email Address: Associated with your account.

  • Organization: The name of your organization.

  • Organization ID: A unique identifier with an instant copy button for convenience.

From the Organization Section, you can:

  • View a list of current teammates.

  • Use Send Invite to invite new members to your team.
